The person behind Sentinel

Amir Saber Sharifi. Cybersecurity operator.

The person watching your digital life. Not a team. Not a white-label service. A named operator with real credentials and personal accountability.

02

Why I built Sentinel

I started Saberistic — a strategic cybersecurity consulting firm — because I kept seeing the same problem at the high end of the market. Enterprises had IT departments, MSSPs, compliance frameworks. Families with equivalent complexity — physician couples, hedge fund partners, second-generation wealth — had nothing. Their exposure was real, their appetite for risk was low, and the options available to them were either consumer tools designed for someone else or enterprise contracts priced for someone else.

Before that, I was a CTO building products at the intersection of design and technology, and before that, an engineer in blockchain infrastructure — an environment where custody mistakes are permanent and threat modeling is a survival skill, not an optional exercise.

Sentinel is the service I kept wishing existed. A named operator, not a help desk. Personal accountability, not a ticket queue. Built for people whose digital posture is genuinely complex and who can't afford to treat it as an afterthought.

Credentials

What I've built and where I've operated.

Founder & Principal
Saberistic

Strategic cybersecurity consulting. Threat modeling, security architecture, and posture assessments for individuals, family offices, and emerging-growth companies.

Former Executive
Designity · CTO

Chief Technology Officer at Designity, a design platform operating at scale. Owned engineering, infrastructure security, and product architecture.

Founding Engineer
Ex-Blockchain Infrastructure

Early-stage blockchain engineering where custody hygiene and irreversible transaction risk are first-order concerns, not afterthoughts.

Founder
CreativX

Built CreativX from the ground up — product, team, and infrastructure. Operational experience running and securing a production SaaS from zero.

How I think about your security

Four principles that shape every engagement.

I
Defense in depth

No single control is the line. A strong password manager fails without MFA. MFA fails without account monitoring. Account monitoring fails without breach alerting. I build layered systems where each control backstops the one above it — so a breach at one layer doesn't cascade into a catastrophe.

II
Threat modeling for wealth

Your threat model is not the same as your neighbor's. High-net-worth individuals face targeted social engineering, SIM-swap attacks against financial accounts, and family-network exploitation that generic security tools were never designed to stop. Every engagement starts with understanding what makes your situation specific.

III
Family-first hardening

Your digital posture is only as strong as the weakest device in your household. Spouses, adult children, household accounts — they're all attack surfaces. I don't lock down one person and leave the rest of the household exposed. Security travels with the family unit, not the individual.

IV
Custody hygiene

Learned in blockchain, applies everywhere: know exactly where your critical credentials live, who has access, and what happens to them if you can't act. From crypto wallets to financial account recovery to digital estate documentation — custody is the discipline that makes everything else recoverable.

05

What I won't do

The bar is set partly by what's included. It's also set by what's explicitly excluded.

No white-label resellers

If you're a Sentinel client, you're working with me — not a junior analyst, not a contractor I've never met, not a white-label team I hired to fulfill your engagement. Personal accountability requires personal delivery.

No offshoring your family's data

Your credentials, your family's device inventory, your breach exposure data — none of it leaves US infrastructure or passes through vendors I haven't vetted personally. This is not a cost-cutting exercise. It's a non-negotiable.

No surprise upsells

Your membership includes what it says it includes. I'm not going to build a dependency and then charge you to resolve it. If something outside scope comes up, I'll tell you clearly — and you'll decide whether it's worth addressing.

No one-size-fits-all playbooks

Your situation is specific. A physician with hospital network access, a crypto-heavy balance sheet, and three adult children has different exposure than anyone a generic security checklist was written for. I don't reuse playbooks.

What happens when you become a client

The engagement model, in order.

Step 1 — Week 1
The intake call

A 45-minute conversation covering your household composition, device inventory, account architecture, crypto exposure, and any prior incidents. I'm building a picture of your actual situation, not running a questionnaire.

Step 2 — Week 1–2
The Digital Risk Report

A personalized written assessment of your current exposure: breach status, credential vulnerabilities, account recovery gaps, device risks. Delivered within 48 hours of the intake call. This is the baseline everything else is measured against.

Step 3 — Days 3–30
Hands-on hardening

I implement the controls: password manager migration, MFA configuration, breach monitoring activation, device hardening. You see the work happen — documented changes, not a black box. Exact timeline depends on your tier.

Step 4 — Ongoing
Permanent monitoring

Monthly security reviews, breach alerts, incident response, and an annual estate documentation update. When something happens, you hear from me directly. Not a ticket. Not an automated alert. A message.

Ready to talk about
your specific situation?

The assessment takes 10 minutes and produces a written analysis of your exposure. No obligation, no sales pitch — just a clear picture of where you stand.
