Estate Protection · Digital Estate Planning

When you die,
your password manager
dies with you.
We fix that before it matters.

Wills cover assets. They don't cover access.
The accounts, wallets, archives, and tokens your executor will need —
none of that lives in the trust your attorney drafted.

The problem

What gets stranded
without a digital estate plan

Your estate attorney is excellent at the legal layer. There is no technical layer — unless someone builds it. Here's what gets lost when nobody does.

01
Crypto Wallets

Irrecoverable seed phrases. Self-custody means exactly that — if you die holding a hardware wallet with no documented recovery path, the coins are gone. Forever. No court order, no password reset, no customer service line.

02
iCloud & Google Photo Archives

Apple and Google offer "legacy contact" programs, but they require setup before death. Without it, decades of family photos, videos, and documents are locked behind a biometric your family can't replicate. Most estates never configure this.

03
Business 2FA Tokens

Every SaaS your company depends on — payroll, banking, critical infrastructure — has 2FA tied to a phone that's now dark. Cofounders and partners get locked out of live systems mid-operation. Boards scramble. Lawyers bill.

04
Domains & SaaS Subscriptions

Domain registrations expire silently. SaaS renewals lapse. Brand assets built over decades go to auction or squatters. A critical business email domain, gone because no one knew to renew it. This happens to estates of every size.

What we deliver

What Sentinel hands
your executor

Three concrete deliverables. Structured. Updated. Ready to use the moment they're needed.

Deliverable 01 — Sealed Envelope Inventory
Held by your attorney or in your safe
  • Master vault recovery — emergency access path to your primary password manager, verified to work
  • Hardware wallet location + PIN protocol — physical location, device type, and verified recovery procedure for each cold storage device
  • Apple / Google legacy contact confirmations — screenshot proof that legacy access is configured on every major cloud account
  • 2FA seed backup list — every account with 2FA documented, backup codes stored, recovery paths tested
02
Quarterly-Refreshed Digital Asset Registry (PDF)

Every account, current value where applicable, access path. Formatted for attorneys — structured so it can drop directly into the estate file. Delivered on a quarterly cadence or immediately when you add a new account, wallet, or business entity. Your executor gets a document, not a mystery.

03
Pre-Coordinated Handover Protocol with Your Named Executor

We will get on the phone with them when the time comes. Your executor is briefed now — they know what exists, where it is, and what to do. When it matters, they're not figuring this out under grief. They have a named Sentinel contact and a documented procedure. We walk them through it.

For estate attorneys

How it integrates with
your existing will or trust

We don't replace your estate attorney. We feed them. Sentinel supplies the technical annex — your attorney handles the legal instrument. We work in parallel, not in competition.

The division of work

Your attorney drafts the trust, names the executor, and handles the legal succession. Sentinel delivers the Digital Asset Memorandum — a structured document listing every digital account, access path, and crypto holding, formatted for the estate file. The attorney attaches it. The executor uses it. No one has to guess what existed or how to reach it.

For your family

What your family gets:
one page, plain English

Your spouse doesn't need to understand multisig. Your kids don't need to know what a seed phrase is. They need one document that tells them what to do in the first 48 hours — before lawyers bill, before accounts freeze, before anything irreversible happens.

The "If something happens to Dad" document
  • Who to call first — one name, one number. Amir's direct line. He handles the technical side so the family can focus on everything else.
  • Where the important accounts are — bank logins, brokerage accounts, email, cloud storage. Plain names. No tech vocabulary. The kind of list someone can read under grief and actually follow.
  • What's in the safe and how to open it — physical location, combination, and a plain-language inventory of what each envelope contains and what to do with it.
  • Crypto: what exists and what NOT to do — simple instructions on what wallets exist, that they should call Amir before touching anything, and why acting fast without guidance causes irreversible loss.
  • Subscriptions that need to be cancelled or transferred — ranked by urgency. What lapses costs money. What lapses costs data. What lapses costs nothing.

This document uses no jargon. It's updated every time your digital estate changes. Printed and kept with your personal papers. A second copy lives in your 1Password emergency kit or with your estate attorney — wherever your family will reach first.

Crypto custody

Inheritance protocols
for crypto holders

Generic estate planning ignores crypto. We don't. Here's what Sentinel sets up for holdings that matter.

Casa-Style Multi-Sig

Multi-signature coordination so no single key — yours, a co-signer's, or a device's — controls the wallet alone. Your attorney, spouse, and a secure backup key form a 2-of-3 arrangement. Nobody gets locked out. Nobody gets robbed into coercion.

Shamir Secret Sharing

For seed phrase inheritance without a single point of failure. The seed is split into shares: your estate attorney holds one, your executor holds one, a physical vault holds one. Any two of three reconstruct the key. No single party can act alone.

Hardware Wallet Inheritance

Trezor / Ledger setup, documented and tested. Seed phrase on metal backup (Cryptosteel or equivalent). Physical location documented in the sealed envelope. Recovery procedure tested with a dummy wallet before the real configuration is finalized. Verified — not assumed.

Ongoing cadence

How it stays current

A digital estate plan that's 18 months out of date is a liability, not an asset. Sentinel's Estate Protection tier keeps yours current on a defined schedule — and immediately when anything changes.

Annual
Full review with you. We go through the entire digital estate: every account, every wallet, every access path. Your executor is re-briefed. Attorney's copy is confirmed current. If anything in your estate plan changed, we update the technical annex to match.
Quarterly
Registry refresh. Updated Digital Asset Registry PDF delivered — new accounts added, closed accounts removed, valuations updated. Sent directly to your attorney and executor on the agreed cadence. No action required from you unless something changed.
Immediate
New account, wallet, or business entity. When you add something new — a new exchange, a new LLC, a new domain — you notify us and we update the registry within 48 hours. No waiting for the quarterly cycle. The sealed envelope stays accurate.

The only tier that
builds this.

Digital estate management — the dossier, the attorney deliverable, the family one-pager, the crypto inheritance protocol — is exclusive to Estate Protection. Not an add-on. Not available piecemeal. Request an assessment and we'll show you exactly what your digital estate looks like right now.
